Aval Fonio launch (Dakar, April 2013)

The kick-off meeting of the Aval Fonio project was held in Dakar from 15 to 19 April, 2013. Organised by CIRAD and ESP/UCAD, it brought together some 40 researchers and administrative staff from Burkina Faso, Burundi, France, Guinea, Mali and Senegal, as well as stakeholders in the fonio sector and partners of research . 

Workshop of WP 3 & 4 (Ouagadougou, November 2013)

The workshop of WP3 and WP4 was organised in Burkina Faso (18-22 November 2013). It was held at the Regional Direction of Cirad in Ouagadougou. 

1st annual meeting (Montpellier, April 2014)

The first annual meeting of the Aval Fonio project was organised in the Cirad in Montpellier from 7 to 11 April 2014. It concerned all partners and associates of the project and it has aimed to analyze the status of activities and program the actions for the second year.

Workshop of WP 1 to 4 (Bamako, June 2014)

Organised by Cirad and IER/LTA, the workshop of WP 1 to 4  was held (9-13 June 2014) in Mali at the Cirad Office in Bamako.

2nd annual meeting (Ouagadougou, January 2015)

The second annual meeting of the Aval Fonio project was organised at Cirad in Ouagadougou (Burkina) from  19 to 23 January 2015. It concerned all partners and associates of the project with the exception of the IRAG of Guinea that did not have the opportunity to join the Burkina. It has aimed to analyze the status of activities and program the actions for the third year.

Workshop of WPs (Dakar, June 2015)

Organised by Cirad and ESP/UCAD, a workshop of WPs  was held (8-12 June 2015) in Senegal at the business incubator Innodev of the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique in Dakar.

3rd annual meeting (Dakar, February 2016)

The third annual meeting of the Aval Fonio project took place in Dakar (Senegal) from 1 to 5 February 2016. The annual meeting was attended by a dozen participants from  the main partners of the project. The work session allowed to analyse the results of the different activities carried out in 2015 and schedule activities until the close of the project set to June 16, 2016.

Final meeting (Montpellier, June 2016)

The final meeting of the Aval Fonio project took place in Montpellier 6 to 10 June 2016. The meeting was held at the House of the Technology on the site of the Cirad Lavalette and has concerned all the partners of the project: Cirad (France), IRAG (Guinea), IER (Mali), IRSAT (Burkina Faso)and ESP/UCAD (Senegal). The main objectives were to analyze the results of the activities of the workpackages and to finalize the deliverables.
