Work session in Dakar

The third annual meeting of the Aval Fonio project took place in Dakar (Senegal) from 1 to 5 February 2016.

Organised by Cirad and ESP-UCAD, the meeting took place at the premises of the incubator Innodev in the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique (Cheikh Anta Diop University). 

The annual meeting was attended by a dozen participants from  the main partners of the project. Cirad was represented by the UMR QualiSud (J-F Cruz, Coordinator and T. Goli, co-leader WP3) and UMR Innovation (T. Ferré, co-leader WP4).  ESP - Ucad in Senegal was represented by C. M. F. Kébé (co-leader WP3 and project representative in Sénégal), A. Anne et A. Diallo (WP3). Other partners were the IER from Mali (Mrs F. Guindo, co-leader WP3), the  IRAG from Guinea (T.A. Diallo, co-leader WP2 and S. Camara, co-leader WP1) and IRSAT from Burkina Faso (I. Medah, co-leader WP4).

The work session allowed to analyse the results of the different activities carried out in 2015 and schedule activities until the close of the project set to June 16, 2016. It has also enabled to address the administrative and financial aspects of the project and to decide a final meeting in Montpellier (France) for the end of May 2016.
