At the end of the year 2015, a cross flow dryer (CSec-T), working with gas, was transferred to Salemata (Eastern Senegal). The dryer has been installed to benefit a group of 10 EIG of women processors of fonio. 

After completing two days of tests that allowed to dry 62 kg and 72 kg of precooked fonio, the Aval Fonio project coordinator in Senegal (C.M. F Kébé) has trained women, the use of the fonio dryer.

The women processors of fonio, very enthusiastic and motivated, will continue to use the fonio dryer and transmit the collected information (quantity dried, gas consumed...) to the ESP-UCAD, Dakar.
