Institut de Recherches en Sciences Appliquées et Technologies

IRSAT (Institut de Recherche en Sciences Appliquées et Technologies) is a specialised institute in Burkina Faso's Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique et Technologique (CNRST).

IRSAT's mission is to help develop and implement research programmes for the benefit of development partners, notably in the field of food technology, while supporting those seeking to create and develop efficient micro-enterprises.

As partner number three and co-leader of Work Package 4, IRSAT is participating in the analysis of innovation processes involving small businesses in the fonio processing sector and in developing decision support tools for both private and public actors. IRSAT is contributing to the development of survey systems and their implementation. It will collaborate in the analysis of results and the production of reports. With its presence in the field, IRSAT is acting as a facilitator for public agencies and private operators to set up collectives based on innovative projects.

IRSAT is participating in the organisation of meetings and workshops in Burkina Faso.
