After 2 early prototypes "hydrolift" fonio desanding machine installed in Bamako (Mali), new equipment was installed in Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso. This 3rd equipment designed and built at Cirad in Montpellier was sent to Soldev enterprise (M. Ouatarra ) in Bobo Dioulasso that manufactured, with the support of the Cirad, the whole chassis and peripherals (hopper, troughs of recovery...).

Then the "hydrolift" has been installed in the processing unit of Fonio (UTF) by F. X. Traoré during a joint mission Cirad (P. Thaunay, A. Delpech and Miss V. Bancal) and IRSAT (I. Medah and S. Bougma).

In real conditions of use, the equipment should provide a flow of fonio from 80 to 100 kg/h with a rate of residual sand in fonio less than 200 mg/kg.
