The mission carried out (21-23August 2013) by the ESP-Ucad (A. Anne et C. Kane) was an opportunity to meet fonio processing small entreprises (UCODAL & Danaya), local manufacturers (Imaf et MOD Engineering) and the partners of the Aval Fonio project in Mali i.e. Laboratory of food technology of IER.

At UCODAL, the mission has visited solar greenhouse dryers to know how they are used to dry precooked fonio. At Danaya, it is "through flow" dryers with gas that are used.
